Garrett Kato Releases Surrender EP

Acclaimed singer, songwriter and producer Garrett Kato announces the release of his latest EP, ‘SURRENDER’ a collection of songs that explore the theme of acceptance and the human experience.
Garrett Kato shares his thoughts on the creation of the Surrender EP: “I wrote these songs all together, and produced and mixed them in my home studio. Actually, across two studios because I moved house in the middle of creating this EP. The concept behind a lot of these songs, I realised after the fact, is that they’re all about a kind of acceptance and accepting life as it is. Whether it’s a challenge, something good or something bad, surrender yourself to the way the world is going to be for you. Don’t try to fight something, surrender yourself to love, surrender yourself to sorrow, to whatever it is, any emotion or circumstance. That’s the mantra of these tracks.”
The EP’s focus track, ‘I Ain’t Gonna Look Back’, encapsulates the journey of moving on and personal growth. Garrett Kato reflects on the inspiration behind this song: “Moving on from parts of your life can be the most defining moment of the human experience. Often it’s presented with great difficulty and hardship, but can give the clearest picture of who you truly are. This track was my anthem to moving on from past troubles and insecurities and moving forward with love and everything else that comes with it regardless of the outcome. Closing the door on who I was years ago and moving forward to remind myself you got this.“
Garrett Kato’s ‘SURRENDER’ EP is a testament to his lyrical mastery and his ability to convey deep emotions through his music. Fans and new listeners alike are invited to immerse themselves in this heartfelt and introspective journey.
Garrett will join ZIGGY ALBERTS on tour in the United States in September for 19 shows across the country. Earlier this year GARRETT played to audiences in Canada with ZIGGY ALBERTS and across the UK and Europe on tour with HOLLOW COVES.
