Alt-pop Trio The Strike Releases Transcendent Single “American Dream”

Indie-rock trio The Strike releases the joyously transcendent single “American Dream.” The upbeat track harkens back to those halcyon days of their remarkable, steady ascent. Listen HERE and watch HERE.
“Our earliest gigs were playing weddings and corporate events, as well as city festivals that are very common in Utah during the summer months. While I was excited about any gig that came our way in those days, I was particularly fond of playing these city events. I always felt that there was something special in the air at these shows. It was like providing a real-time soundtrack for somebody’s coming-of-age movie. Often the stage would face the crowd and behind them, there would be the most incredible backdrop of the Wasatch Mountain Range. I wanted to write a song that would capture a little bit of that magic. ‘American Dream’ is my attempt to do so,” reflects singer Chris Crabb.
Full of punch-the-sky anthems, such as the previously released tracks “Heroes of the Heart,” “Soundtrack,” “Just Like Paradise,” “Down,” “The Getaway,” and “Just Friends,” the band embraces percolating synth-scapes beaming from the 1980s but with a modern edge on their forthcoming release out this.
