Mexican Lo-fi Producer Donovan’s Playground Announces ‘To My Present Self’ EP

Today, platinum & 7X Gold-certified producer Donovan’s Playground announces his new EP To My Present Self. The 5-track project continues the narrative that the 23-year-old began with his April LP To My Past Self.

Born Donovan Ferra, the Puebla, MX native initially gained a following as one-half of the electronic duo (and recent Nettwerk signee) Fallen Roses, amassing hundreds of millions of streams and connecting with thousands of devoted Latin American fans. He’s released music as Donovan’s Playground for three years now, but To My Past Self was his first full length project with the name.

“I’ve decided to create this project,” Donovan reveals, “where I can experiment and release all of my ideas. The genre or mood doesn’t matter. I’ll go from house music to lofi beats and everything in between. It might be messy but I hope that you understand.”

Both To My Past Self and To My Present Self highlight Donovan in his relaxed creative space and serve as instrumental reminders to be mindful of the past while focusing on the present. New single Sick + Tired is Donovan’s third from the forthcoming EP and works quite well for listeners looking to catch some Zs in the present moment. Download the “Sick + Tired” artwork HERE.
