Indie-Electro Artist Bay Ledges Shares New Single “Sylvia (NaNaNa); On Tour Now!

Indie-electro-pop artist Bay Ledges shared his first original track, “Sylvia (Nanana)” since his 2022 album, Ritual. The summery beat-driven track, named after his favorite guitar, layers tempos and samples with Zach Hurd’s smooth vocals over rhythmic acoustic and electric guitar. Hurd explains, “It’s kind of a journal entry, a collage of voice memos and guitar pieces I made by the river at home. It’s about getting yourself to put the grief aside so you can go out and be in the world again.”

The new track follows a mostly sold-out tour with Big Wild, where he performed in iconic venues like The Greek Theatre and Brooklyn Bowl. Next up, he is opening for select dates for indie-folk artist Trevor Hall, including a stop at Red Rocks. In addition, Bay Ledges will be playing at Shabang Music + Arts Festival and headlining a couple of shows in May. This summer, he will join Goth Babe on their east coast run. Hurd started Bay Ledges in his bedroom after moving to Los Angeles from a small town in coastal Maine in 2015. It began as an attempt to make fun, creative sounds with no expectations. Chopped-up guitar lines, playful beats, and manipulated vocals made for soulful, glitchy songs with a feeling of nostalgia. The project took off when Hurd’s 2016 single, “Safe,” jumped to number three on Spotify’s Global Viral Chart. His 2022 self-produced album, Ritual, has already amassed more than 30 million streams worldwide. He has toured all over the US and Canada, sharing the stage with such acts as Yoke Lore, The Palms, and Magic City Hippies.
