Genre-Bending Collective Joe Hertler & The Rainbow Seekers Shares the Euphoric “The Last Ovation”; Announce Spring 2023 US Tour + Treefort Fest

Today, the genre-bending collective Joe Hertler & the Rainbow Seekers return with a euphoric single + video “The Last Ovation,” out now via Nettwerk.
The atmospheric song tackles existential themes of impermanence and encourages the listener to enjoy the ride. The lush arrangement flows like a river with a mantra-esque chorus and moody piano lines. Listen to “The Last Ovation” on all digital retailers (here).
On the story behind their song, Joe shares, “It’s about stepping down from one’s identity. I watched both my dad and my stepdad struggle with retirement, when your job is your everything. Someday I’ll play my last show, you know? It’s the brevity of things that make them worthwhile and have always been able to find the romanticism and magic of impermanence. Anyhow, this particular song is about a Formula One driver, semi-inspired by the story of Francois Cevert, who is at the end of the career line, but ultimately pushes on past his prime towards his untimely death.”
The accompanying music video, animated by Paul Zito, is an otherworldly story based around the story of Formula One driver Francois Cevert. We see a futuristic racer in the endless cycle of preparation and competition. Suddenly he launches into space where we hear a quote from Cevert about the passion behind his racing. It’s a beautiful message of hope and finding comfort in change.

Joe Hertler & The Rainbow Seekers will make a sprightly young groove doctor out of anyone. Lead singer Joe Hertler splashes through lyrical puddles of golden rain, leaving his audience wearing flowery crowns and bubbling smiles. A ride on the Rainbow will take you across the mountains of Motown, through the fjords of folk, over the archipelagos of Americana, and-at last-into a funky firth, where only the fiercest of friendships can be found. Their quest has brought them across the nation and upon such noble gatherings as Bonnaroo, Electric Forest, and Summer Camp. They’ve shared the stage with kindred spirits Lawrence, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Ripe, The Revivalists, and more. “The live show is the purpose of the band. This is why we make music. Playing music is a symbiotic process, the crowd is as much a part of it as the musicians.
