The Knocks Remix “Rocket On My Feet” By Synth-Pop Duo St. Lucia; See Fall 2022 Tour Dates
June 3, 2022 BY Penny Palmer
Today, St. Lucia (the husband-and-wife duo of South Africa-born Jean-Philip Grobler and Germany-born Patti Beranek) partners with NY-based electronic duo The Knocks to remix the retro-inspired single “Rocket On My Feet” from the recently released EP, Utopia I.
St. Lucia and The Knocks go way back (even before St. Lucia was called St. Lucia), and until now, they had never remixed each other’s songs. “To cut a long story short, we wouldn’t be here without B Roc discovering us and Heavy Roc Music (The Knocks label) putting out our first single, ‘All Eyes On You,'” Grobler says. “But then, The Knocks have a long and almost immaculate history of discovering and fostering great talent, from Sofi Tukker to Blu D Tiger, and the list goes on. Our first-ever tour was with them; we’ve written and released many songs with them, including “Modern Hearts” and “Limo.” So, to say our bond is thicker than blood would be a gross understatement. We are basically family.”
See St. Lucia live on their recently announced Fall 2022 North American Tour. See below for the complete set of dates, more info, and tickets at stlucianewyork.com/live.

About St. Lucia:
St. Lucia has stayed faithful to what they’re best at: putting on incredible live shows everywhere from Coachella to Kansas City, producing shimmery synth-driven pop grooves, and having a damn good time doing what they love. St. Lucia has always stirred good vibes. It started with their debut album, When The Night, which entered the Billboard Top 200 and hit #6 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Album chart. The follow-up album, Matter, yielded the hit “Dancing On Glass,” while the band collaborated with Jack Antonoff, RAC and others. Two years later, Hyperion represented a creative and critical high watermark with praise from Billboard, who hailed the album as “buoyant,” and PopMatters who raved, “it feels revelatory.” Inspired by everyone from David Bowie, The Weeknd, Daft Punk, and Parcels, St. Lucia wrote and recorded their latest EP Utopia I at a feverish pace. They enlisted the mixing talents of trusted collaborator Chris Zane [Passion Pit, The Walkmen] and buttoned up their first new music in four years. The opener “Separate World” rides shimmering keys, handclaps, and a propulsive groove, followed by the retro-pop track “Another Lifetime.” Elsewhere on the EP is the aforementioned single, “Rocket On My Feet,” standout number “The Golden Age,” and EP closer “Memory.”
