“a fantastically gritty rock duo” – NPR Music

“The band’s tunes are wholly and perfectly original” – Village Voice

“The Pack A.D. doesn’t operate with a scalpel’s surgical precision, but hacks away with the rough edge of a stone-sharpened machete. That’s how you show who’s boss” – Magnet

Out today, The Pack A.D. release a 4-song EP called Meta Animal. The EP features previously unreleased tracks, including a cover of Thee Oh Sees’ “Night Crawler” (available HERE via Nettwerk Records).

“”Motorvate” has become a staple in our live set and was never made available in North America. So, this is a way to rectify that. The song is about Detroit, after all. “Back in a Hole” is just a nice little ditty. Covering a Thee Oh Sees song was a no brainer, as they’re a mutual favorite band of ours. Most of the appeal to choosing “Night Crawler,” was that we both sing the whole song…which is a first for us,” says Maya Miller (drums/vocals).

Partnering with INKED Magazine, the duo shares the official music video for “Animal,” which appears on the EP and their 2013 album, Do Not Engage.

The video was filmed in Vancouver by longtime friend/collaborator, Jimi Cuell. He also directed “Rocket,” “Take,” “Deer,” “We Kill Computers” and “Crazy.” The video comes complete with all the makings of a classic horror film: creepy scientists in extra white lab coats, chains and fangs, and even some Thriller-inspired dance moves.
