Marshall Shares “I Could Be The One” Video Featuring Actress Alexandra Shipp

Marshall is Ryan Marshall, one of the principal singers and songwriters in the JUNO-award winning group, Walk Off The Earth, whose videos have amassed over 400 million views on YouTube. With the self-produced debut, “I Could Be the One,” Marshall’s music sits on the opposite end of the musical spectrum, which blends his pop sensibilities with touches of R&B, hip-hop and indie rock – not surprising once you find out he has co-penned songs for everyone from from mega-producer/DJ Tiësto, Grammy nominated producer Ill Factor to Finnish noise-makers Rasmus. “It allows people to hear a side of me that I don’t usually allow,” Marshall says of his new track, on which he also played all of the instruments.
In the tequila-laden, mercurial music video “I Could Be the One,” Marshall grapples with self-doubt, as he’s stalked by a fearless alter ego (played by XMen and Love Simon actress Alexandra Shipp). “The truth is, most artists never know if what they create is actually any good,” Marshall says. “The reality is that I like it and it makes me happy, and that’s good enough for me.”
