Danish sibling-rock-trio Velvet Volume have just shared a new video for the blistering anthemic song “I Think I Need You.” The video is a dramatic extension of their live gigs, where they truly feel at home.

Watch & Share – “I Think I Need You” (Alternative Version):

“‘I Think I Need You’ is one of the first songs we ever wrote, that’s why we decided that the video should reflect our present selves, combining an old song with our new visuals” the band says. “We’ve incorporated the beautiful aesthetics of Japanese cherry blossoms in the video, just as we do in our live performances, but this music video reflects a version of our live show – Utopian dreamshow. Our stage performance is always reflecting our current phase and is a place where we can express ourselves honestly as artists, that’s why we decided to transfer that into the video.”

Recently Yamaha Guitars went behind the scenes of the video shoot and spoke with lead singer Noa Lachmi about her rig. Watch it HERE.

Comprising of three young siblings, (twins, Noa (guitar) and Naomi (bass), alongside their drummer sister Nataja), the band have been creating a ripple across Denmark and beyond in the last few years with their sell-out energetic live gigs and a sound that recalls Veruca Salt, The Donnas and a dash ofSleater-Kinney in the vocal range. Velvet Volume’s debut studio album Look Look Look! was released back in 2017 to great critical praise in their native Denmark, featuring catchy, riff-tastic, no nonsense rock songs like “Fire,” “Leap into Heaven,” “Runnin’ Wild” and “I Think I Need You.” Nettwerk Records were quickly won over by their raw talent and recently signed them up for an international deal.

In the last couple of years Velvet Volume have played international festivals and events including Reeperbahn, Eurosonic, London Calling, Paaspop Festival and more. The trio are planning to tour throughout 2019, watch this space for more news.
