After releasing his first new material since 2018 last month, Yorkshire-born singer/songwriter Findlay Brown has today shared his new single “Hope Your Restless Heart Can Last,” taken from his forthcoming new EP. It’s a nostalgic, shimmering love song featuring gorgeous sweeping arrangements.

“I wrote it thinking about my wife”, explained Findlay. “The song is about creating a space for a loved one, when they are going through a hard time. It is about escaping together and letting them know they are not alone…”
The Copenhagen based musician has been busy writing and recording new music with producer Tor Bach Kristensen and award-winning string arranger Davide Rossi. It’s some of his most personal and intimate music to date, focusing on celebrating the power of perspective — from the worldly insights we acquire over time to the role nature plays in helping us to reflect and grow. A joyride through ‘70s AOR, chamber folk and sandy soft-rock influences, Findlay’s forthcoming new material will invite you to kick back and enjoy the trip.
Since 2007, Findlay has released four studio albums and built up a loyal and dedicated fanbase during that time. From his acclaimed debut Separated By The Sea, which The Guardian called “brilliantly melancholic”, 2010’s Bernard Butler-produced Love Will Find You, through to Slow Light in 2015 and his Nettwerk Records’ debut LP Not Everything Beautiful Is Good in 2018. Over the years his music has been featured and appeared in various international publications, including The New York Times, SPIN, Mojo, Uncut, BBC, Vice, Vogue, The LA Times, Stereogum, and more. He’s appeared on national TV, performing on BBC Two’s TOTP2, and on the Late Show with David Letterman in 2010.
