NW1's talented composer Peter Wright

It’s been over twenty years since Peter Wright wrote his first song and the highly acclaimed British composer is showing no signs of slowing down. Growing up to the sounds of the Beatles and Motown, it’s safe to say there was no shortage of musical inspiration for a young Londoner in the late 60’s early 70’s. “I wanted to emulate the great songwriters of that era,” reflects Peter, “Lennon and McCartney, Bacharach and David, Brian Wilson, Holland Dozier Holland and Smokey Robinson”.

Peter has a killer list of co-writers that he’s worked with in the past
including Grammy Award winner Craig Wiseman (Tim Mcgraw/Kenny Chesny), Jess Cates (Backstreetboys/Nick Lachey/Leanne Rimes), Danielle Brisbois (Natasha Bedingfield), Ben Robbins (Robert Plant, Gabrielle) and Robbie Williams. His song “I Still Burn” became a number one multi-platinum smash hit single in Germany, Austria and Swizerland, performed by Tobias Regner (Sony) and co-written with Jess Cates. He has also contributed to No. 1 albums for the likes of Paul Oakenfold, Natalia (“Everything and More”) and Russian superstar Valeriya.

So what’s happening next for NW1’s talented and unstoppable Peter Wright?

“I’m working with Chris Elliot who has done great string arrangements for Conjure One and stellar work for Adele”, Peter says. “ I’m also contributing songs to various production companies responsible for artists like Lauryn Hill and I’m continuing to work with Grammy winning writer Rob Davis who has been responsible for huge hits for Kylie Minogue.

Even with all the musical success, Peter has managed to obtain two degrees from the University of London, the first in Biochemistry and the other in Dentistry. An extremely hard worker with the accolades to show for it, he’s learned to the key to success is not to dwell on disappointments, but to move on quickly. We’re sure the No. 1’s will keep coming, and NW1 is proud to be working with the dynamic and talented Peter Wright.
