Alt-Rapper Snøw Celebrates 1 Billion Streams on “Get You the Moon,” Shares New Track “Icarus” with kerri

Sad-rapper, producer, instrumentalist and songwriter Snøw celebrated a major accomplishment earlier this month; his 2018 smash hit “Get You The Moon” (with Kina) just eclipsed one billion plays on Spotify. A watershed moment for both artists, EARMILK recently shared that “Get You The Moon” made Kina the first Italian artist in history to reach one billion Spotify streams on an original single.

Today, the Salem, MA artist is back with “Icarus,” a new single featuring frequent collaborator kerriThis marks Snøw’s third single of 2024 with Nettwerk, following “Disconnected” and “Eleven.”

“This song is about being naïve when it comes to relationships,” shares Snøw. “It’s about ignoring your intuition in hopes of being wrong about your partner until you eventually grow tired of the pain and muster up the courage to leave.”

While “Get You The Moon” brought his music unprecedented levels of attention, Snøw hasn’t let the track’s viral success define his career and aspirations. In 2023, he released Demons Can’t Find Love, his first entirely self-produced project, and followed it up with 32 Degrees, taking a stripped-down approach to tracks such as “Death of Me” and “Swishers.” The projects received praise from VanyalandSHEESHThe Luna CollectivePLAYDATE Media and more.

2023 also served as a major year of growth for Snøw as a live performer and he looks to expand on these strides this year. Last March, he performed at SXSW for the first time, taking the stage at The Line of Best Fit’s showcase alongside the likes of Been Stellar, Enumclaw and Jaguar Jonze. He followed this up in June by headlining the 1500-capacity Big Night Live as part of a showcase presented by the Music You’re Missing Podcast, which marked his first time performing with a drummer.

Stay tuned for more music from Snøw. For now, Icarus is available at all digital retailers here: https://snow.ffm.to/icarus
