Following two previously sold out NYC shows, Brooklyn-based duo Savoir Adore have announced that they’ll headline the Music Hall of Williamsburg on Saturday, September 21, marking their largest hometown headline show to date. They are also playing their first headline gig in Los Angeles tonight, August 7, at The Echo before heading up to San Francisco for Popscene on Thursday, August 8 (all tour dates are listed below).
On the heels of their video for lead single “Dreamers” reaching 1 Million Views, Savoir Adore have unveiled a fiery new video for the track “Regalia” from their latest album Our Nature, which was re-released on Nettwerk in June. The video premiered yesterday on LA tastemaker blog Buzzbands.LA.
Directed by Alex Maxwell and Iwan Zwarts of The Mill, the video is a journey in and out of an entirely new geometric dream world. The paper-constructed landscape was designed by Hayley Morris, the animator behind the critically acclaimed video for Iron & Wine's "Joy."
The band has also teamed up with EVNTLIVE to stream a special set from San Francisco on Friday, August 9 at 3pm PDT that will be available for fans around the world to watch live. Details are available here: https://www.evntlive.com/#!/event/1000503.
Formed in 2007, Savoir Adore has become a fixture of Brooklyn’s indie scene. Following the release of The Adventures of Mr. Pumpernickel and the Girl with Animals in Her Throat and 2009’s In The Wooded Forest, the New York music press embraced the fantastic self-released Our Nature. Muro and Hammer were both born into musical households. Muro’s father is an electronic music composer/performer/author, her mother an organist and her brother a composer. Muro herself learned to play the piano and violin and trained as a jazz vocalist while also in her mother’s church choir. When she arrived at NYU, she joined a songwriter’s club, which is where she met Hammer, who grew up with famed keyboardist and composer Jan Hammer (Mahavishnu Orchestra) as his father. Savoir Adore has previously shared the stage with MGMT, Los Campesinos, Ra Ra Riot, Toro Y Moi, Milo Greene and most recently Sea Wolf.
