On August 27th, Nettwerk Records will release a proper introduction to The Pack A.D. in the form of an EP titled Some Sssongs. The Pack A.D. is poised to make the crucial breakthrough long predicted by the Canadian music press and presaged by the ever-swelling ranks of its faithful fan base. Formed in 2006, The Pack is an act that’s earned its current “bubbling under” status the old-fashioned way: by showing up and showing the people the goods one city and one new fan at a time and then coming back, time and again, with even more to offer.
The Pack A.D. will be playing in New York City (Tuesday, September 10 at Pianos) and before making their way to Los Angeles for a mini residency (Monday, October 7 at The Satellite and Monday, October 14 at Chris Douridas’ School Night at Bardot).
Comprised of drummer Maya Miller and belligerent guitarist/vocalist Becky Black, The Pack A.D. is an epically fierce explosion of punk, psych- and garage rock. The revered duo established themselves as an integral part of Canada’s soundscape with the releases of Tintype (2007), Funeral Mixtape (2008), We Kill Computers (2010) and the Juno-nominated Unpersons (2011).
Stay tuned for more dates and information in the coming months.
