Louis Abbott of Admiral Fallow To Play Solo Show At NYC's Rockwood Music Hall April 8
Louis Abbott, frontman for critically acclaimed Scottish quintet Admiral Fallow, will be in New York City for Scotland Week 2013, and he's taking the opportunity to perform an intimiate solo show of Admiral Fallow material on Monday, April 8 at Rockwood Music Hall (stage 2). Admiral Fallow released sophomore album Tree Bursts In Snow last Spring to critical acclaim. Q Magazine said "Admiral Fallow approach the epic indie-pop of their second album with the cocksure bravado thta comes when everyone's watching." Last year, Admiral Fallow was named as one of Paste Magazine's "Top 10 International Acts To Watch For In 2012." Tree Bursts In Snow, was produced and mixed by Paul Savage (Franz Ferdinand, Mogwai) and mastered by Greg Calbi (Bon Iver, Fleet Foxes, The National). The band first caught attention stateside when they appeared at SXSW in 2011, receiving praise from the likes of NPR's All Songs Considered, Paste Magazine and others. The track “Squealing Pigs,” the lead single from debut album Boots Met My Face, was used as the soundtrack to a GE commercial that made its network television premiere during Super Bowl XLVI to an estimated audience of over 111 million.
