Ten Kills The Pack Shares "Favourite Song" From Upcoming 'Life, Death, And Afterwards' EP

Toronto city-songwriter Sean Sroka, aka Ten Kills The Pack, shares “Favourite Song” from his upcoming EP, Life, Death, & Afterwards, out February 26, 2021 via Nettwerk. “Favourite Song” is an acoustic fingerpicker about the way that past relationships can exist in several different realities all at once. Sroka explains, “At one point in time, a certain song of mine was everyone’s favorite song in my set. The song also represented a person, so it began to hurt to sing each time. ‘Favourite Song’ stems from how every past relationship is someone’s favorite song (literal or not).”

The inventive artist has also announced CAPACITY:1, an intimate live experience with Ten Kills The Pack. Just Sean, his songs and one single, properly distanced audience member in a room, seated face to face. The first edition will take place this Sunday, September 27th in Toronto. The contemporary folk artist made his mark in recent years by blending together literate, poetic observances and incisive musings on the human condition with cunningly composed and hard-hitting songcraft and instrumentation. His acclaimed 2019 debut release, Force Majeure, introduced his talents through the lens of a defined Toronto cityscape and its cosmopolitan hustle, bustle, beauty, and heartache.

Now, with Life, Death, & Afterwards—produced by Dave Cerminera (Father John Misty, Cold War Kids, Dawes)—Sroka has expanded his scope to focus on even bigger targets—a search for interpersonal purpose, and the clarity that comes from space and growth—while losing none of the intimacy nor observant expressiveness for which Ten Kills The Pack has become known. Life, Death, and Afterwards realizes the potential of his debut to deliver on all promised levels and plant Sroka firmly at the forefront of this exciting new folk music landscape.
