The Trews Announce Exclusive Record Store Day Vinyl For Debut Album 'House Of Ill Fame'

Nova Scotian rockers The Trews burst on the national scene in 2003 with House of Ill Fame, selling over 50,000 albums (certified Gold) and launching the Canadian radio classics “Not Ready To Go” and “Tired of Waiting.” Available on 12-inch vinyl for the first time and releasing on April 21, 2018 to coincide with Record Store Day, the limited edition LP features transparent red vinyl, previously unreleased photos from the band’s early years, a handwritten note from John-Angus MacDonald describing the band’s move from Antigonish to Niagara Falls and living in the “House of Ill Fame,” new liner notes on each of the albums tracks, and finally, a bonus live medley of “Tired of Waiting” / Hey Jude.” To help celebrate this limited release, The Trews will be holding a special in-store performance (starting at 1pm till 4pm local time) on Record Store Day in Hamilton, Ontario at Into The Abyss Records (110 Locke Street). Please contact your local store and reserve your LP by clicking HERE.

Additionally, the Trews are back with a brand new single titled “The New Us”. The new track is described by the band as “a call-to-arms for us all to try and cut through the static, noise, clutter and B.S of the insane times that we find ourselves living in, and hopefully seek out a little truth for ourselves in the process… or at least give you something to head bang along to in frustration in the meantime.” “The New Us” is available on all music platforms and at rock radio throughout Canada. Finally, The Trews will release a digital album containing b-sides and rarities titled The Vault on April 20, 2018.

The Trews have had 17 Top 10 singles on Rock radio, two Gold Certified albums and received numerous JUNO Award nominations. They've played well over 1,000 shows worldwide, both on their own and supporting legendary acts including The Rolling Stones, KISS, Robert Plant, Guns 'n Roses, Kid Rock, Bruce Springsteen and more.

Stay tuned for more information from The Trews in the coming weeks.
