Savoir Adore Releases Indie Summer Anthem "When The Summer Ends"

“…a breezy summer jam with just a hint of nostalgia.” – John Schaefer, WNYC

Savoir Adore has just released a new song for your summer playlist: indie anthem “When The Summer Ends,” out now.  The song combines a disco bounce with an infectious melody, filtered through a chill summer lens… the perfect soundtrack for a pool hang, backyard barbeque or beach day.

The track was one of the first that Paul Hammer and Lauren Zettler wrote together. “Every summer is a special one, and there’s nothing quite like the haze of nostalgia…all of the emotions and energy connected to the passing of time, and how we grow with it,” says Paul. “‘Do you think the moon would fall into the sea if it pulled on the world as hard as your love’s pulled on me?’ That lyric sums up the song for us – a love with the weight and magic of the moon, but the impermanence of a season. Taking something that started care-free and asking it to be more. In many ways, that’s the feeling of summer... we wish it could last forever.”

“Savoir Adore” is French for “to know love” - a lofty moniker, but an idea that’s always been at the heart of the band’s romantic, imaginative pop music. The Brooklyn band first caught ears with infectious single “Dreamers” from sophomore album Our Nature, which gained international acclaim and over 4 million YouTube views. In 2016, the band went through an evolution that saw primary songwriter/vocalist Paul Hammer welcome Lauren Zettler as his permanent female counterpart. They released the critically acclaimed The Love That Remains — their most mature, honest, and ambitious album to date — and spent the better part of the year playing a slew of headline shows and supporting X Ambassadors and Bear Hands throughout North and South America.

Stay tuned for more news and music from Savoir Adore.
