machineheart Signs To Nettwerk + Releases New Single "Overgrown"

"'Overgrown' is a powerful introduction...The four-piece are an electrifying live proposition, with their taut yet ethereal songwriting matched to incredible charisma." -- Clash

Los Angeles-based ethereal indie pop quartet machineheart has signed to Nettwerk Music Group and today shares the first single, “Overgrown,” from their upcoming debut album (details tba).   “Overgrown” is a bold statement: seductive in instrumentation, clever in time changes, and beguiling in its echo-chamber vocals.  The band will be playing this and other new songs when they open for The Horrors in San Francisco at The Independent on June 29th and Los Angeles at the Regent Theatre on July 1st.

Magnetic frontwoman Stevie Scott says of the song, “'Overgrown,' more than anything, is a feeling; it’s a place I pictured in my head. During the writing process, we intentionally escaped to try and figure ourselves out. And what we found creatively was so much open space. There was a pensiveness brooding that was honest and tangible; you can hear that in the song."

machineheart--rounded out by Harrison Allen (drums), Carman Kubanda (electric guitar) and Jake Randle (bass)--released their debut EP “Cruel World” in 2017 and lit up the scene with their infectious, alternative sounds. Soon they were a Top 5 Spotify Emerging Artist and named one of NME’s "2017 Break Out Bands." Today, the EP has close to 50 million combined streams.

Stay tuned for more news from machineheart soon. "Overgrown" is available HERE.
