Family Of The Year Signs To Nettwerk Records; Tour Dates Confirmed With Belle Brigade & Good Old War In Support Of 'St. Croix' EP (Out March 6)

“Its ebullient title track is full of stylistic left turns…it all fits seamlessly, a gem for driving to the beach with the windows down and the volume cranked…a vacation in a song.”

“intense and atmospheric” –

“Just bring the ocean, Family Of The Year will bring the motion.” – IFC Channel

“If you’re familiar with FOTY, you already know (and probably love) their beach sound. If not, [St. Croix EP] is a fantastic introduction.” – Wild Honey Pie

"The Mamas and The Papas on acid.” – Steven Tyler (Aerosmith)

Nettwerk Records is pleased to announce the signing of LA-based Family Of The Year. Combining soft harmonies, comforting guitar chords and toe tapping beats, the irresistibly catchy St. Croix EP is due March 6th via Nettwerk Records.

To parallel the playfulness of the title track, the band enlisted Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Jessica Sanders to “create a video that didn’t have to be taken too seriously,” says drummer Sebastian Keefe.  Watch it above.

Formed in 2009, Family Of The Year (FOTY) - Joe Keefe (vocals, guitars), Sebastian Keefe (drums, vocals), James Buckey (guitars, vocals) and Christina Schroeter (keyboards, vocals) - has accomplished a healthy dose of success in such a short amount of time. After years of “cohabitating” in a run-down house and relying on each other for inspiration and support, the members of the Los Angeles outfit have formed unbreakable bonds that are undeniable in their infectious live performances and prolific songwriting. The band has already played sold-out shows in England and across Europe, including a triumphant set at France’s largest music festival Les Vieilles Charrues, and garnered support stints with Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Mumford & Sons, Grouplove, and Milo Greene. Early supporters have included NPR, Guardian UK, NME, CMJ and the BBC to name a few.

Currently the group is preparing for its busiest schedule yet. On March 8th, the band will begin a full US tour with Belle Brigade and Good Old War, including several SXSW performances. For a complete list of dates, see below.
