Aoife O’Donovan

Known for her ethereal voice and substantive songwriting, Aoife O’Donovan captivates fans and critics alike. 2016 brought the release of her second solo album, In the Magic Hour, which Mojo described as “exhilarating and exploratory”. It was the follow-up to her critically-acclaimed solo debut, Fossils. O'Donovan spent the preceding decade as the lead singer of the Boston-based string band, Crooked Still, and as a featured vocalist on The Goat Rodeo Sessions, the Grammy-winning album by Yo-Yo Ma, Stuart Duncan, Edgar Meyer and Chris Thile. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with some for the most eminent names in music from Alison Krauss to jazz trumpeter Dave Douglas, and is currently in the new house band on the radio variety show A Prairie Home Companion. Aoife is also one part of the folk trio I’m With Her, with bandmates Sara Watkins and Sarah Jarosz.
