Father John Misty

Father John Misty is the pseudonym of American folk singer-songwriter, guitarist and drummer, Josh Tillman. A former member of indie rock bands Saxon Shore and Fleet Foxes, Tillman released his debut Father John Misty album, the critically-acclaimed Fear Fun, on Sub Pop Records / Bella Union.

Father John Misty’s charismatic persona and incredible live shows led to Fear Fun becoming one of Sub Pop’s best-selling debut releases. In a few short months after it’s release, Father John Misty went from headlining small clubs to filling venues like New York’s Terminal 5, First Avenue in Minneapolis, The Wiltern in Los Angeles and yielding marquee performances at FYF Fest, Capitol Hill Block Party, Coachella, Bonnaroo, Sub Pop's Silver Jubilee, Newport Folk Fest, Osheaga, Lollapalooza. In addition to winning over fans through his live show, Father John Misty delivered inspired performances on The Late Show with David Letterman, Conan, Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and Last Call with Carson Daly.

Father John Misty’s sophomore album, I Love You, Honeybear, will be released February 10, 2015 on Sub Pop / Bella Union.
