Christopher Elliott

Pianist, composer, and arranger Christopher Elliott has worked with some of music’s biggest  stars.  From  the  late,  great  Amy  Winehouse,  Mark  Ronson  and  Adeleto Sugababes,    Depeche    Modeand  U.N.K.L.E,  Elliott’s  sonic  flourishes  and embellishments have traversed genres, eras, and formats –also finding fame in film soundtracks, including Baz Luhrmann’s Moulin Rouge! among others. However, after working behind the scenes for over two decades, the UK-based artistis stepping out of  the  shadows,  emerging  with  hisdebut  solo  LP,  After  the  Storm,  a  soothing, instrumental  piano  trip  that  pitches  up  at  the  Erased  Tapes  camp  or  the Minimalist school of Steve Reichand the like. Downing  his  regular  compositional  tools  and  dipping  his  toes  in  the  waters  of improvisationand  chance, the  album  soundtracks  a  particular  time  and  place  in Elliott’s life. Cloaked in blankets of delay and reverb, the album was written largely on the piano and recorded at Elliott’s own studio –a converted chapel in rural Essex.
