Nettwerk publishing artist Los Campesinos! has just announced plans to release a new album, Hello Sadness. The album comes out November 14 in the UK on Wichita and November 15 in North America on Arts & Crafts. The ten-song album was recorded in Girona, Spain and produced by John Goodmanson, who also worked with the band on their last two albums.
Vocalist Gareth Campesinos! commented, "It feels like we’ve done all our growing up while in this band. Not like we’re Hanson, or anything. But we’ve been Los Campesinos! since finishing university, and in that time we’ve all changed as people massively. That’s something we want to put across in the music."
Pre-orders are available on the band's website, including a limited edition DVD containing a behind-the-scenes documentary "and a 'How to Play' feature," as well as a CD collecting early demos.

Nettwerk One Publishing and Island Records Australia recently held their 2nd Annual Bali Songwriting Summit in Ubud, Bali. The summit was conceived and launched last year as a partnership between Nettwerk One Publishing’s Peter Coquillard and Island Records Australia’s General Manager, Michael Taylor in an effort to bring together some of the hottest artists, writers and producers from around the globe in one of the most culturally unique and artistic locations in the world.
Several esteemed artists and writers of the pop world attended this year’s summit, which was held from May 28 – June 5, 2011, including Nick Jonas of Grammy-nominated superstars The Jonas Brothers, Multi-Platinum recording Australian artist Delta Goodrem, #1Billboard hit songwriter Bonnie McKee (Katy Perry, Taio Cruz) and many more (full list of attendees below). In addition to the state-of-the-art recording studios on site, attendees enjoyed several planned events that showcase the best of Bali culture, art, food and music. “Ubud has such a unique rhythm to itself. Giving artists and writers the opportunity to create outside of their normal day-to-day, can be the needed catalyst for truly special songs,” say Michael Taylor, GM, A&R / Head Of Island Records Australia, Universal Music Australia.

On Friday March 11, at Bymark Restaurant in Toronto, music industry luminaries gathered to celebrate the accomplishments and career of Nettwerk's CEO Terry McBride, along with Mary Martin, at the MMF (MusicManagersForum) Canada’s 5th Annual Honour Roll Reception.
Over 125 leaders of the music and management industries attended this lavish event and one of the many highlights of Canadian Music Week. The Honour Roll award was presented to industry leader Terry McBride, which sees him join the ranks previous winners Bernie Finkelstein, Bruce Allen and Ray Danniels and Sam Feldman.
Long time Nettwerk founder and partner of nearly 30 years, Mark Jowett, presented McBride with his award, while long time friend, EMI Canada President, Deane Cameron, was unable to attend but sent a special congratulatory video message. Guests were also treated to an acoustic performance by one of McBride’s newest clients Liam Titcomb. McBride was on hand to personally accept this honour, and did so with his customary soft-spoken grace. Well known for his social awareness and charitable efforts, McBride began his acceptance by asking the audience to join him in 30 seconds of silence to acknowledge the catastrophic events unfolding following the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.
After more than two decades together, multi-platinum recording artist Sarah McLachlan and her long-time manager Terry McBride, CEO and co-founder of Vancouver-based Nettwerk Music Group, have decided to end their professional relationship.
"I'd like to thank all the people at Nettwerk for their hard work, especially Terry McBride, Mark Jowett, Dan Fraser and Ric Arboit,” says McLachlan. “However, it’s time for a change, and I’m looking forward to exploring opportunities with new representation.”
McBride adds, “Sarah and Nettwerk have had an amazing 23 years and a multitude of successes together. We wish her only the best as she moves forward in her career, and will continue to work with her and support her."
