“Kidstreet’s sound embraces both ‘90s big-beat dance music and indie rock, hearkening back to the electronic-tinged glory days…” – Exclaim!
“When I saw three dorky-looking twenty somethings setting up a row of synthesizers at the front of the stage, I wasn’t expecting much. Boy, was I wrong.”- CHARTattack
Waterloo sibling trio Karl, Cliff and Edna Snyder--better known as Kidstreet--are set to release their debut album Fuh Yeah on September 27, 2011. The band gives listeners a taste of Fuh Yeah with a new music video for single “Birthday Boy” (available now on iTunes).
Premiering earlier today on Exclaim!, the video was directed by Angus McLellan and Karl & Cliff Snyder, and was shot from the perspective of a pint glass at a party. Karl explains, “A friend of ours took rein of the glass and had his way with it. Dancing, barfing, naked games of Twister, climbing onto rooftops…all the typical things any one glass might witness at a party.” Check out the newly unveiled video for “Birthday Boy” below.

Brit-rock band The Rifles return to release their third studio album Freedom Run on September 20, 2011, with lead single “Tangled Up In Love” out August 16, 2011. The track is a dangerously infectious melody, topped with a luscious string riff and the familiar Rifles’ crunching guitars.
Freedom Run further enhances the reputation of one of the most exciting, enduring and diverse London bands of the last ten years. Recorded at Paul Weller’s studio, Black Barn, and produced by the legendary Chris Potter (who has guided such luminaries as The Clash, The Stones and The Verve), the album has a fresh, revitalized sound, loaded with inspirational tracks that range from light and fun pop symphonies to the raucous soul-inflected heartfelt pop-rock that has dominated The Rifles’ back catalogue and given them a fan-base that continues to sell-out venues across Europe.
Only a month until the release of their highly anticipated fifth studio album Gravity The Seducer (September 13 in the US; September 12 in the UK), Nettwerk recording artist Ladytron reveals a fourth album track entitled “Mirage.”
The UK-based quartet (Daniel Hunt, Reuben Wu, Helen Marnie and Mira Aroyo) created Gravity The Seducer to operate like a book, with tracks acting as chapters that hold the album together. As a teaser, Aroyo says, “scenes that are set up in ‘Mirage’ return and reflect in a later track, ‘Melting Ice.’”
Ladytron shared the music video for lead single, “White Elephant.” Directed by Michele Civetta, the video was filmed in Normandy, France and can be watched below:
Having already performed the song on national TV, Blush’s debut single “Undivided” (featuring Snoop Dogg) vaulted its way into the Top Ten (#9) on the Billboard Dance/Club Play Chart. This follows club performances for Blush--Victoria, Natsuko, Angeli, Ji Hae and Alisha--in Los Angeles (The Colony, Eleven, Avalon, and Rage) with additional club appearances to be announced in the coming weeks in New York and San Francisco.
Blush debuted “Undivided” to the world when they opened for Justin Bieber earlier this year in Asia. Last month, the Pan-Asian group (together the girls represent China, Japan, Korea, India and the Philippines) made their U.S. TV debut on FOX’s wildly popular “So You Think You Can Dance.” This came on the heels of the debut of their hotly anticipated global debut single which premiered on Yahoo.com via the animated video for “Undivided” to an overwhelming response. The animated clip for “Undivided” which also featured Snoop Dogg marked the first-ever music video created solely utilizing the Brushes App for iPad. Watch the video HERE.
