Shiny Toy Guns Reveal Cover Art For 'III' (Oct. 23); Free Download Of "Waiting Alone (L.A. Riots Remix)" At MagneticMag.com

Nettwerk Management Artist Shiny Toy Guns have revealed today, Monday August 20 the cover art for III, their upcoming new album due out October 23 on Five Seven Music. They are also offering a free download of “Waiting Alone” remixed by L.A. Riots via Magneticmag.com.

The cover artwork for Shiny Toy Guns' III was created by Ben Schwartz using a photo by Oklahoma-based artist Benjy Russell. Shot on location in a very remote gypsum rock quarry in Oklahoma, it consists of three 6' mirrored columns against a massive wall of rock. “The album title III is very strong, simple and elegant, and visually it's very sculptural. I always pictured the album artwork having the title of the album incorporated into the photo. I also wanted there to be a hardcore juxtaposition within the elements used,” says Russell of his work. “There is an almost alien-like, razor sharp precision in the mirrored columns, which is in complete contrast to the sheer weight and strength in the boulders and craggy rock facing. I also wanted there to be an element of reflection both physically and metaphorically, especially with what the band has gone through to get to this third album. Not that I could have planned this any better, but in the reflection of the columns you can see a storm receding in the distance.”

Delerium To Release 'Music Box Opera' On October 30; AOL Music Shares "Monarch" Video Feat. Nadina

Following the release of lead single, “Monarch,” Delerium reveals details about the first studio album in six years, Music Box Opera – out October 30 via Nettwerk Records.

With the creator/brainchild of Delerium Bill Leeb (Front Line Assembly, Skinny Puppy) at the helm, the Vancouver-based electronic outfit - which includes collaborators Rhys Fulber, Jared Slingerland and Jeremy Inkel - fuses ambient and cinematic production with soaring vocals courtesy of a myriad of guests. As a result, this Opera comes to life vividly and vibrantly.

"Music Box Opera is more of an electronic record than a world music record. It's ethereal, but there's a little bit of pop. We tried to intertwine and merge those two strands. The singers really held this up. The last album was more dark and worldly. Previously, I'd use acoustic guitars and real drummers. We really went electronic here and stuck to that vibe,” explains Leeb.

Leeb partners up with an array of talented guest vocalists on Music Box OperaAzure Ray, Angela McCluskey, Nadina, Leigh Nash (of Sixpence None the Richer), Kristy Thirsk, Jaël and others. For full track listing, see below.

State Radio To Release 'Rabbit Inn Rebellion' Oct 23; Announces Fall 2012 Tour

Following the release of latest single, “Take Cover,” State Radio announces details to their forthcoming studio album, Rabbit Inn Rebellion - out October 23 via Ruff Shod/Nettwerk Records. To listen to selections from the album, see above.

State Radio’s Chad Stokes (of Dispatch & Chadwick Stokes), Chuck Fay and Mike “Mad Dog” Najarian serve up rock n’ roll realism that weaves together stories of the downtrodden and the oppressed, but never loses its sense of hope. Demonstrating the band’s versatility, Rabbit Inn Rebellion is raw and gritty, rolling with thunderous drumming and delectably grimy guitars, moving away from the previously reggae- and ska-tinged productions on 2009's Let It Go.

Each song on Rabbit Inn Rebellion has a unique story. These 11 tracks create a concept album, depicting a dystopia world ravaged by endless war (“Take Cover”), wanton executions (“State of Georgia”), heartless oligarchs (“Big Man”) and the unlikely love between freight train runaways (“Adelaide”). But this isn’t science fiction; these stories are true, revealing facets of the world, as it is today. In some cases, the stories are ripped straight from newspaper headlines, e.g. the “love” story between a man and a sheep on the Black Sabbath-like “Black Welsh Mountain." Other notable highlights include “Desert Queen” - a raucous song about Stokes’ four-legged friend, a descendant from Grateful Dead’s touring dog Karma.

Dispatch Releases "Circles Around The Sun" Official Video

Dispatch has unveiled the official music video for their single and title track from their forthcoming album, Circles Around The Sun. The video, which premeired last week on Vevo.com, was directed by Eric Heimbold and is dedicated to Larry Perry, a young disabled man who (legend has it) was sent unwillingly into space by NASA in the ‘60s. The video features footage of the band and Larry during various point of his life from childhood to adult as well as archived footage from NASA.

“Circles Around The Sun is the legend of our friend Larry Perry, who passed away this past year," guitarist-vocalist Chad Urmston told Rolling Stone. Whether the legend of Perry’s voyage into space is actually true is still debated amongst conspiracy theorists and his story has been told in How’s Your News, an American television series and feature film that aired on MTV and captivated audiences. The video is a tribute to Larry. To find out more about Larry Perry, click HERE.

Circles Around The Sun is the group's first studio album in twelve years and will be released on August 21st on the band’s own Bomber Records. Produced by Peter Katis (Interpol, Jonsi, The National), the album is an eclectic rock and roll record that delivers on the gutsy storytelling, compelling songwriting, and radiant harmonies that earned the band its diehard fanbase.
