Nettwerk Records and Vancouver-based singer-songwriter Joshua Hyslop are pleased to celebrate his Canadian album chart debut, with Where The Mountain Meets The Valley landing at #175 on Canada's Top 200 Chart, as well as #67 on the Digital Albums Chart.
In his early 20s, Hyslop is inspired by an array of artists - Damien Rice, William Fitzsimmons, Ryan Adams, Iron & Wine – but, has developed his own kind of artfully-rendered Americana.
In the coming days, Hyslop will be taking his music on the road. The stripped down performances highlight Hsylop’s innate ability to effortlessly write beautiful melodies layered on top of lovely harmonies.

Nettwerk recording artist, Family Of The Year, announce details of their much-anticipated studio album, Loma Vista. Set for release July 10, the full-length follows the critical success of last year’s St. Croix EP; heralded by NPR as “ebullient, full of stylistic left turns” and “intense and atmospheric” by Rolling Stone.
Family Of The Year—Joe (vocals, guitar), Sebastian (drums, vocals), James Buckey (guitar, vocals), and Christina Schroeter (keyboards, vocals) - completed 14 songs with producer Wally Gagel, one-half of production/songwriting team, WAX LTD and who’s credits include Rolling Stones, Muse, New Order, PJ Harvey, Sebadoh, Eels, Rihanna and more. A few tracks were set aside for St Croix, the remaining make up Loma Vista. This is the first time that the band has worked with a producer and gone outside their own camp to release their music.
To celebrate the forthcoming release, FOTY reveals “Diversity” and partnered with Nylon Magazine to share a 4-minute tour clip pieced together from their recent North American jaunt with Good Old War and Belle Brigade. A band with remarkable performance presence, the video aptly captures life on the road with a band that started out “cohabitating” in a run-down house and relying on each other for inspiration and support.
Old Crow Medicine Show (OCMS) are excited to announce the release of their newest album, Carry Me Back, on July 17 through ATO Records. Carry Me Back is the band's fourth studio album and first since 2008's Tennessee Pusher (Nettwerk), and features 12 brand new tracks that sonically span the band's career while still pushing them forward in new directions as musicians and songwriters. The album was recorded at the legendary Sound Emporium studios in Nashville (O Brother, Where Art Thou?; REM's Document; Robert Plant and Alison Krauss's Raising Sand).
Carry Me Back was produced by Ted Hutt (Gaslight Anthem, Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly). Hutt pushed the band in a whole new way that they hadn't been pushed before. "Ted Hutt asked us to really dig deep as artists, as songwriters, to get to the heart of the matter of these songs and, especially, not to settle for anything less than their greatness," recalls Ketch Secor of the band. Secor is also very proud of the result of the band's songwriting efforts on the album, saying "For me, Carry Me Back is all about the songs, how they line up, intertwine, switch partners, and promenade home. Each of these songs was an accident waiting to happen."

Nettwerk Records has signed Dispatch to a label deal for Europe, and will release their upcoming album Circles Around The Sun in mid-August. This is the band's first studio album in 12 years, and first ever label-supported release in the Europen territory.
Earlier this year, Dispatch made their way over to Europe for the fist time in their careers. Despite having never released an album or toured there previously, Dispatch sold out the majority of their tour dates, and were forced to move their London show to a bigger venue due to popular demand. The sold-out show in Cologne, Germany was streamed live by German music television show Rockpalast and can still be viewed HERE.
Circles Around The Sun is an eclectic all-American rock and roll record that delivers the gutsy storytelling, compelling songwriting and radiant harmonies that has earned the band fans throughout countless countries.
On the heels of making his debut appearance at the Coachella Arts And Valley Music Festival and wrapping his first tour through Asia and second trip to Australia, Grammy-nominated DJ/Producer Morgan Page announces another slew of tour dates, including stops at many of this year’s summer music festivals – Las Vegas' Electric Daisy Carnival (142,000-capacity), Chicago's Spring Awakening Festival (61,000-capacity), NY's Electric Zoo (25,000-capacity), Toronto's Edgefest, Victoria's Rifflandia Festival, Calgary's Stampede Festival and more.
This has been a stellar year for Page, and it’s only the beginning. With a #1 Billboard Club Airplay title track, “In The Air” and follow-up single, “Body Work” moving up the charts, Page’s current full-length is breaking personal records. A little more than a month since its release, In The Air has surpassed year-to-date sales of his two previous releases - 2008’s Elevate and 2010’s Believe.
Current single, “Body Work” (featuring Tegan And Sara) sits in the Top 20 at Pop Radio for the 4th consecutive week, the accompanying video is in heavy rotation at MuchMore and was the “Recommended Video Of The Week" at MuchMusic.
“Recording this album has been a very different experience for me. It’s an opportunity to be more loose and have a bit more fun. Recording with Julia is cool but we both have our hands on the wheel. This is an opportunity to grab the wheel and do some burn-outs,” says Stone.
May 17, 2012 (Los Angeles, CA) – Following the recent release of lead single, “Bird On The Buffalo,” Angus Stone announces full details of his upcoming solo album Broken Brights - out July 17 via Nettwerk Records.
Broken Brights marks a departure for Stone, and not just from recording with his long-term musical co-conspirator and sister, Julia. The album, produced by Angus, is also proof that he can deftly shift between genres without compromising his signature sound.
While title track “Broken Brights” is a return-to-form for Stone — it’s a nostalgic, dreamy tribute to our youth — “Bird On the Buffalo” is a livelier composition, incorporating distorted guitar riffs, which also make an appearance in the notably rockier “It Was Blue.” That string-laden track in particular is proof that his compositional skills transcend the preconceptions you might have about his musical style.
In the recording process, Stone has captured memories and imaginings from his pilgrimage around the planet. What he says about going solo could easily sum up the experience of listening to Broken Brights: “It’s a whole different trip.”
Last month, Angus released the visually stunning video for the track, featuring towering sand dunes, owls, wolves and model/actress, Isabel Lucas (Transformers, Immortals, Home And Away).
