Nettwerk Producer Management client Matt Serletic scored a #1 album on the Billboard Top 200 this week with the album North from Matchbox Twenty, which he produced. North is the band’s fourth studio album, and amazingly, their first #1. The first single from North, “She’s So Mean," was the band’s 13th top 10 hit on the Adult Top 40 chart and currently remains at #8 for the third straight week.

Serletic’s work can also currently be heard with the hit single “(Kissed You) Good Night” from Gloriana. The single peaked at #2 on the Hot Country Songs chart, with the album, A Thousand Miles Left Behind, debuting at #2 on the Billboard Country Albums chart. Both Matchbox Twenty and Gloriana were signed and developed by Matt’s own Emblem Records.

Angus Stones Films and Edits "Clouds Above" Video; Premieres at IFC

“Angus Stone is that rare breed of man who is both rustic and sensual, something that comes across with apparent ease in his music. In this gorgeously realized psychedelic video for “Clouds Above,” Stone finds beauty in rural India,” – IFC

Angus Stone partners with IFC (International Film Channel) to exclusively premiere the video for “Clouds Above,” from his current solo effort, Broken Brights (out now).

Angus filmed and edited the video himself while in India. It beautifully weaves together the sights and colors captured through his camera lens.

"I was living with a family in the hills of Southern India and I brought my camera along to film my stay. The one thing I spent the most energy on was sitting by the hornets' nest for hours, just waiting for them to hatch. When I think back, I was very much coming to life again through my journey to India; just as the hornets were seeing the world for the first time," says Angus.

State Radio Shares "Big Man," Marking The One Year Anniversary Of The Occupy Movement; Available To Download At RollingStone.com

Following the announcement of their forthcoming album - Rabbit Inn Rebellion (out October 22 via Ruff Shod/Nettwerk Records) – State Radio partners with Rolling Stone to reveal their latest single, “Big Man.” The track is one of this week’s featured “Daily Downloads”; click HERE.

As the largest international protest, The Occupy Movement inspired the story behind “Big Man.” A song about the social and economic inequality within the financial structure -- with a shout out to the late Mohamed Bouazizi (the Tunisian street vendor who set himself on fire) as well as references to Icharus (greed) and Solomon (wisdom) - “Big Man” comes out one year after Occupy Wall Street received wide coverage on September 17, 2011.

"With the one year anniversary of The Occupy Movement approaching, I'm proud of our contingent here in Boston on the front lines. The song is about the economic disparity between Wall Street and the rest of us, while referencing Icharus (greed) and Solomon (wisdom). Playing at Boston's Dewey Square was a dream for me. I was so honored to be there, let alone play music, for our brothers and sisters who are making a stand against injustice and corruption," – says lead singer/guitarist Chad Stokes.

Junkie XL Announces Album - 'Synthesized' (Out Nov. 27); Album Features Fredrik of Datarock, Curt Smith (Tears For Fears), Tommie Sunshine, Isis Salam and Spoken Word By Timothy Leary

Dutch-born musician, remixer and producer JUNKIE XL returns with a strikingly eclectic electronic dance music album Synthesized - out November 27 via Nettwerk Records. Leading up to his first album in four years and the sixth full-length LP in his 15-year career, he’ll release “Gloria,” a pulsating club track with tough, bass-heavy stylings featuring Fredrik of Datarock (Available October 22).

Synthesized sees Junkie XL chilling out with beautiful, lysergic lullabies such as "The Art of Luxurious Intergalactic Time Travel" and “Take Off On Molly’s E.” The album also features performances by Curt Smith (Tears for Fears) on “When Enough Is Not Enough,” Tommie Sunshine on “Love Machine” and Isis Salam (Chinese Flash Mob, Thunderheist) on “Off The Dancefloor,” as well as spoken word by Timothy Leary on “Leave Behind Your Ego,” with a rare excerpt from “The Psychedelic Experience: Going Out.” On each track you’ll not only find Junkie XL helming electronics, but playing bass, guitar and/or drums himself.

The Junkie XL moniker by Tom Holkenborg began with 1997's Saturday Teenage Kick. Unlike most producers swept up by the so-called “electronica craze,” not only did Junkie XL hang on, but flourish with a steady stream of solo efforts: 2000’s Big Sound Of The Drags and 2003’s Radio JXL: A Broadcast From The Computer Hell Cabin. Radio JXL included collaborations with Depeche Mode’s Dave Gahan, Gary Numan, The Cure’s Robert Smith and Public Enemy’s Chuck D. The U.S. release included the breakthrough remix of Elvis Presley’s 1968 single, “A Little Less Conversation,” marking the first time the Presley Estate ever granted permission to any producer to retouch any Elvis material. The track, originally created for a 2002 Nike World Cup Commercial, went on to be featured in several films, including Ocean’s Eleven. The song became a #1 hit in more than 20 countries worldwide.
