The Pack A.D.: Inspired By Indie Horror Films, Duo Shares Official Video For "Animal"; 'Meta Animal' EP Out Now

"a fantastically gritty rock duo" – NPR Music

“The band’s tunes are wholly and perfectly original” – Village Voice

“The Pack A.D. doesn’t operate with a scalpel’s surgical precision, but hacks away with the rough edge of a stone-sharpened machete. That’s how you show who’s boss” -
Magnet

Out today, The Pack A.D. release a 4-song EP called Meta Animal. The EP features previously unreleased tracks, including a cover of Thee Oh Sees’ “Night Crawler" (available HERE via Nettwerk Records).

“"Motorvate" has become a staple in our live set and was never made available in North America. So, this is a way to rectify that. The song is about Detroit, after all. "Back in a Hole" is just a nice little ditty. Covering a Thee Oh Sees song was a no brainer, as they're a mutual favorite band of ours. Most of the appeal to choosing "Night Crawler,” was that we both sing the whole song…which is a first for us," says Maya Miller (drums/vocals).

Partnering with INKED Magazine, the duo shares the official music video for “Animal,” which appears on the EP and their 2013 album, Do Not Engage.

Indie pop/folk duo The Weepies attended BMI's 63rd Annual Pop Awards in Beverly Hills last Tuesday night (May 12), where P!nk received the BMI President's Award. As part of the evening's celebrations, P!nk invited The Weepies to perform one of her songs. The duo happily obliged with a special rendition of "F—in' Perfect."

The Weepies recently released their first new album in five years, Sirens, to critical praise. They'll launch a full band North American tour on May 29 (tour dates below).

-----------------------------------------------------------------
Praise for Sirens:

Sirens ultimately represents a definitive record in The Weepies’ catalog, not just for the backstory of its creation, but for its broad scope of musical layers and untiring search for emotional truths.” — Paste Magazine

“[Sirens is] an album of exquisitely artful songs… killer harmonies with smart lyrics.”
Guitar World

"It’s hard to imagine a pair of voices more gracefully matched, songs more holistically optimistic but intelligently honest, or arrangements as gorgeously structured as what is contained herein. This is an exceptionally well-done record.” — The Bluegrass Situation

Sirens, their most inspiring and captivating release to date, is a monstrous grand slam.” — Thank Folk For That

Sirens captures that bittersweet dichotomy between sadness and optimism as artfully as ever...there’s a restless spark here that hasn’t always been present in the Weepies’ recordings...Sirens’ occasionally beefed-up sound is an evolution, not a departure.” — Diffuser.fm

Admiral Fallow To Release 'Tiny Rewards' On May 26 (North America); May 25 (UK)

“I love these guys. I think they’re amazing. And there’s something bolder about this new tune, about all the new stuff actually.” – Five Burgeoning Acts Recommend By Guy Garvey of Elbow (Read more here: http://bit.ly/1IBdjip)

Scottish indie quintet Admiral Fallow will release their new album, Tiny Rewards, on May 26 in North America (May 25 UK). The band’s third album is the follow up to 2012’s Tree Bursts In Snow, an album that saw them shed the constraints of nu-folk and swell into a more organic design, blending traditional with electronic, orchestral and indie. Tiny Rewards follows on this path, and for the first time, the songwriting process is a collaborative one, with each member’s individual skill and talent as important as the other.

Watch The Video For “Holding The Strings”:

As a Glasgow band prone to self-deprecation, Admiral Fallow will probably wince at the plaudits Tiny Rewards is about to receive. Heartbreakingly beautiful, sonically audacious and lyrically bewitching would fit the bill. The quintet, however, would more likely describe Tiny Rewards as a dozen songs from an 18-month experiment to do something different.
